On Sunday at around 2 o'clockish, we had to go to the piano retical. First when i got there to change and sit down, i was very calmed down, but as soon it was almost my turn, my hands were shaking, turning yellowish-red, my feet couldn't stop shaking and my heart was pounding so hard! When i got up on the stage i almost forgot my piano title thing. It was so scary. When i played the song i played so fast that my hands can't control to slow it down. I screwed up so badly. Oh well, there's always a next year (let's just hope there isn't).

don't worry about it. I did worse. a LOT worse.
the story:
On my first piano competition (grade 4..i think). I was calm, just like you. But when it was my turn, i had butterflies in my stomach. so i sat down on the piano bench. Just then, my mind when COMPLETELY blank. i even forgot the title of my song! So the judge was like: you can start now. So i played the first few notes, but then..i FORGOT the rest of the song. I tried many many many times again. (stage fright)So then, the judge brought up the book and put it in front of my face. I STILL coudln't play it like i did at home! in fact, i messed up the whole thing. And then, the judge played the first few notes along with me, and FINALLY, i started to get then hang of it. I played like i did at home. and after like...half an hour, i was doen my turn ( my song was only like..2 mins?).
During that time...there was an audience, a BIG audience. I got home, was sad and everything, but i eventually got over it.
The End

I screwed up a lot during my piano exam...ended up with an 81...at least it was a little better then expected. My piano teacher says she never had anyone with a mark lower than 80. Whew!
